卓越呈现全新舞台即兴作品 Wrestling with Time（《与时间角力》），探索时间、控制与表演之间不断变化的关系。

作品围绕一台机械节拍器展开，并结合人声、打击乐器、竖笛、共鸣物件与现场电子音乐。节拍器不再只是维持速度的工具，而成为一个被携带、观察、操纵、抵抗，并最终失去控制的舞台物件。

作品游走于预先设计的行动与即时产生的音乐决定之间，延续了卓越近年来对“舞台即兴”（staged improvisation）的探索：声音并非来自一个固定的乐谱，而是在表演者、物件、空间以及不可预期的事件之间逐渐生成。

Zhuo Yue presented Wrestling with Time, a new staged improvisation exploring the unstable relationship between time, control and performance.

Centred around a mechanical metronome, the performance brought together voice, percussion, recorder, resonant objects and live electronics. Rather than functioning simply as a device for keeping time, the metronome became an object to be carried, observed, manipulated, resisted and eventually allowed to fall.

Moving between carefully constructed actions and spontaneous musical decisions, the work continues Zhuo’s exploration of staged improvisation, in which sound emerges through interactions between the performer, physical objects, space and unpredictable events.
